Full & Partial Dentures with One-Day Denture Solutions

Made of durable plastic resin and sometimes porcelain, both partial and full dentures can be fabricated to look and feel natural. Dentures are customized for each patient’s unique jawbone structure and can be designed for maximum comfort and fracture resistance, depending on each patient’s preferences and budget.

If your teeth must be extracted, we can customize temporary dentures that you can wear that very same day, so you never have to be without teeth. Patients can wear their same-day dentures for about 2 months as their gums heal and until they are ready to be fitted for regular dentures.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are a relatively simple option to protect natural teeth and strengthen damaged teeth. The prosthetic teeth are also used as the caps for dental implants.

Crowns look, feel, and function like natural teeth, and they also are very strong, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.

They are typically made of porcelain, although gold or other alloys may be an option at some dental practices. One of the most recent trends in dental care is the use of BruxZir crowns, made of solid zirconia.

Dental crowns are not removable. They are cemented in place as an essentially permanent solution, so there is no maintenance required other than standard brushing and flossing.

Dental Bridges

While crowns can be placed over implants or natural teeth, dental bridges are used to replace a missing tooth. The “bridges” are essentially three teeth in one — a prosthetic tooth, known as a pontic, anchored by crowns. The natural teeth in front of and behind the empty space in your mouth would be shaped to allow for placement of the crowns on top of them, leaving the pontic to fill the empty space in the middle.

They are a solid solution to replace missing teeth and, on average, can be more affordable then dental implants.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are also a virtually permanent solution to replace missing teeth. While the dynamics of this process are more involved, essentially dental implants are placed under the gums to serve as the root of a tooth, similar to the roots of your natural teeth. A titanium screw is then attached to the implant, and a porcelain crown is placed on top.

Dental implants are among the longest-lasting, most reliable solutions to replace missing teeth. The result feels and looks natural, and no maintenance is involved with the exception of everyday flossing and brushing. You may need to follow up with the dentist to ensure that the surgery had optimal results, but nationally, 90 percent to 95 percent of all dental implants are successful.

If you need one dental implant, this basic procedure would be ideal.

However, Alkass Dental features a surgical center for Straumann dental implant system procedures. Through this surgery, which requires general sedation, multiple dental implants can be performed at once, along with dental extractions if needed and the placement of the crowns.

Everyday dental implant procedures require several visits to the dentist, but with the Straumann dental implant systems, patients can come without teeth and leave with teeth that very same day.
